About the author:
Jazz guitarist Sid Jacobs is renowned for his sophisticated harmonic style and articulate soloing. He has performed with Brad Mehldau, Joe Diorio, Eddie Harris, Harold Land, Larry Goldings, Buddy Montgomery, Javon Jackson and other leading artists.

Sid developed the curriculum for the Jazz Guitar class at the Musicians Institute (MI and GIT) in Los Angeles, where he continues to teach. He is the author of several widely-used instructional books for guitar, including Modern Jazz Concepts for Guitar and Jazz Improvisation (Musicians Institute Press), The Bill Evans Guitar Book (TRO Publications), The Changes: Guide Tones for Jazz Chords, Lines & Comping for Guitar (Mel Bay Publications).
